Reach for the Sky Logo
This was another brilliant collaboration with our friends and clients, TECwomen CIC, to create a logo for the Reach for the Sky Festival.
The Reach for the Sky Festival is a family event packed with real aircraft, a VR zone, science shows, and over 20 interactive stalls that combine creativity, play, and exploration. Designed especially for girls, the event is an incredible opportunity for them to explore the exciting fields of aviation and aerospace, with a special focus on opportunities in the Southwest.
During our research of the target audience, 8 to 12-year-old girls, we discovered that “Vans clothing slip-on sneakers” were the must-have fashion accessory of the moment. A skateboard was one of the most asked-for Christmas presents.
Our central logo blends the existing hexagon ‘bolt head’ device and typography of the TECgirls branding with a slanted custom font face that emulates the extended tails and terminals of the Vans skateboard clothing logo.
Our colour palette for the identity blends existing colour combinations from the TECgirls identity to add vibrancy and reflect the sky’s dawn and dusk gradients.
It is always a lot of fun working with TECwomen. This was our second design project with them; the first was the Ctrl Alt Del brand identity.
